Mount Baker Emergency Hub

We are re-inventing the Mount Baker Disaster Preparedness Emergency Hub!

What is the Mission of the Hub program?

Our group of dedicated volunteers plan, educate, organize, and practice to keep our neighborhood safe in the event of disaster. The Hub’s role is to:

  • Encourage individual and household preparedness.

  • Share materials that make your preparedness journey clearer and easier.

  • Plan and train with our community to collectively increase disaster readiness.

  • Set up our Hub in Mount Baker Tennis Courts after an actual disaster–to offer health and safety information, share resources, organize volunteers, and post information from government agencies.

Where is the Mount Baker Emergency Hub?

Mt. Baker Park Tennis Courts, Lake Park Dr S, Seattle, WA 98144.

Following a disaster, Mt. Baker Hub will set up in front of the Tennis Courts. This is our

gathering place. Come here to get information and to offer or ask for help.

When will we need our Emergency Hub?

Hopefully, Never. The purpose is for the Hub to be activated as an early

response after a large earthquake, flood, fire, or disaster that affects us locally. This

is based on the assumption that outside help would not reach us for 96 hours,

minimum. There will not be enough city workers and resources to help everyone, so

neighbors will have to rely on each other during the weeks that follow.

Who is part of our Emergency Hub?

Everyone! You might have a need that needs to be met or a resource that can be shared.

What is an Emergency Hub?

What can I do?

you a notification in case of an emergency.

  • Join our team! Send us an email at: HUBMBCC@gmail.com

  • Consider what resources or knowledge you have to share in case

    of an emergency.

  • Prepare your family and have a plan.
