Volunteer Opportunities - How You Can Help

We love our volunteers! We couldn't run any of our programs, or complete any of our parks projects without their generous donation of time, energy and elbow grease.

Please consider joining us on a project or help out at an event. No time commitment is too small! One hour on Saturday morning, or co-chairing a whole event we would love to have you join us!

Volunteering with the Club is fun. Meet your neighbors. Help your community grow.

Why not  join our Volunteer Database. There's no immediate commitment. Instead we will send you an email before events where we need volunteers and when something strikes your fancy, let us know.

Volunteering is a great way to give back to you community. It's also a great way to make new friends. For many it has also led to them getting more involved by joining committees or the Board.

So why not sign up today. Whether you help out for an hour or an evening your help is gratefully received by all who value our community.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Mount Baker Community Club.

2017 Mount Baker Home Tour
Saturday • December 2nd, 2017

This incredible event has been taking place since the 1970's. It is a showcase of some of the most interesting homes in our neighborhood - jewels of architecture, history and design. It is a great way that we can show a wide audience the special neighborhood we all live in. Around 1,000 people will attend and we need your help to make this happen. Contact hometour@mountbaker.org if you would like to get involved and read on to find out more about the help that we need.

Post-Tour Volunteer Party Chair
We need an extra special volunteer to help us plan a celebration to thank all our amazing volunteers. The volunteer party takes place at The Clubhouse, after the Home Tour ends. This is a wonderful event for all our volunteers. The volunteer will need to pick up the food we will provide and set up at the Clubhouse ensuring that we replenish and make our volunteers feel valued for all their hard work.

Ticketing Volunteers
Helping Home Tour visitors check in and take "on-the-day sales". You will be in the Clubhouse for the event and work in shifts.

Decorating Volunteer
We'll need people to help decorate the Clubhouse on Friday evening or Saturday morning prior to the HomeTour. Everything that you will need will be provided - you just need to be willing to help.

Home Docents
Work inside one of the 6 beautiful Home Tour homes. Help direct visitors, answer questions about the homes, and ensure the homes are well-cared for during the Tour. You can pick your shifts (2 hours long) between the opening time of 10am and closing at 4pm.

It takes many, many people to run this event. It benefits us all to have our wonderful neighborhood showcased. So why not get involved and contact the Chair of the Home Tour, Jeanne Iaannuchi at hometour@mountbaker.org

Day in The Park - 10th September 2017, 10am - 3pm

This wonderful, free event is open to all and provides a great way for us to come together. Volunteers are needed to help with set up and clean up and organizing all the events that take place. Contact programs@mountbaker.org to volunteer a little time that benefits so many.

Programs Committee
Help shape the programs at your Mount Baker Community Club. Planning committee meets monthly to discuss upcoming programs and outline Clubhouse events for the year.

Poster / Flyer Distribution
ach month we need volunteers to help distribute our "This Month at the Clubhouse" posters & flyers. This can be a one-time only commitment, or maybe you're willing to help every month. We're happy if you want to put up 5 posters, or 50 posters. And, the best part is, you can just put up flyers wherever you're going anyway! Going to dinner at Tutta Bella? Put up a poster for us!
