Meaningful Movies - Jan 31st 6.30pm
“Whose Streets?” is an unflinching film look at the Ferguson Uprising. When unarmed teenager Michael Brown is killed by police, it marks a breaking point for the residents of St. Louis, Missouri. Grief, long-standing racial tensions and renewed anger bring residents together to hold vigil and protest this latest tragedy.
Doors open at 6:00pm for conversation and refreshments. Stay after the film for audience discussion. Donations always welcome.
Special Guests AISHA HAUSER, MSW is an educator, facilitator, author, and anti-racism advocate. Ms. Hauser will be joined by a representative from the ACLU.
