Summer Camps at The Clubhouse


The Mount Baker Community Club is partnering with these two excellent organizations to offer you a series of wonderful Summer Camps this summer. Please see below for full details of all the Summer Camp sessions we have available. Please contact the organizations directly to inquire about the camps. 

Stone Soup Theatre

Stone Soup Theatre offer a wide range of show specific camps like The Frozen Queen or Crafting Mines (for Minecraft fans) in which campers rehearse and perform a scripted show as well as story journey camps like Curious George or Princesses and Dragons in which campers use beloved children’s stories to create their own show. All of our camps end in a final performance).  

Sponge School

Join Sponge for Mandarin, Japanese, or Spanish immersion camps.  Kids gain language learning skills, useful vocabulary and cultural awareness in a fun, dynamic setting.  Camp leaders are native quality speakers who fill each day with games, crafts, music, outdoor play and more, all in language.  Full and half day options available.

Crafting Mines (for Minecraft fans) 
Steve and his friends unwittingly found a portal that took them from this world and trapped them inside the overworld of their favorite video game. The players must search across dimensions, looking for precious resources and fighting hostile enemies, until they find a portal that will take them to the End. There the players must slay the Dragon of Ender and retrieve the Dragon?s Egg before the night ends or they will be trapped in the game forever. Enter the creative building world of creepers, blocks, and TNT in a play that will enthrall both novices and experts of the popular video game!

Princesses and Dragons
Journey to a land of princesses, knights, dragons, and fairies, as we reenact both old and new fairytales. Young performers will create characters, sing songs, play games and tell stories in this fun high energy creative drama camp!

Curious George
George is one curious monkey who can?t help but get into trouble as he explores the world around him. He needs other curious creatures to join him on his next great adventure! Young performers will create characters, sing songs, play games, and explore the beloved stories of Curious George in this fun, high-energy creative drama camp.

The Maze of Mother Goose
Mother Goose?s book of nursery rhymes has been torn apart by the Man in the Moon and scattered across the seven seas! The Cow is without his moon, and the Dish has lost the spoon! Our heroes must voyage through the Maze of Mother Goose, seeking all the rhymes and stories before the Man in the Moon captures them all. Participants will bring fun and familiar characters to life, such as Humpty Dumpty, Jack, and Jill, all while learning beloved rhymes and songs.

Disney's Cinderella
This timeless fairy tale is the Disney adaptation of the treasured musical. Poor Cinderella is endlessly mis-treated by her wicked stepmother and step-sisters- but with the help of her mice friends and the fairy godmother, Cinderella dances at the ball, but will she make it home before midnight?

Greek Myths with Perseus
The action packed story of young Perseus, son of Zeus and his mortal mother Danae. He grows up valiantly as he saves his mother's honor, prevents the beautiful Andromeda from being eaten by a sea monster, with time left over to kill the snake-headed Medusa. This kind of drama will keep campers on their mythological toes!

No Damsels in Distress: A Scottish Fairytale
Malicious fairies roam free in Scotland, stealing food and abducting humans. Can Janet reclaim the land of Cartergraugh against the Fairy Queen? "No Damsels in Distress" shows the power of strong determined girls with a dash of magic, fairies, warriors, and adventure. Learn stage combat, how to create a character and the basics of performance in this fantastic tale of a heroine.

The Hobbit
This ensemble-based play tells the exciting and surprising quest of Bilbo Baggins as he meets strange and mysterious characters on his journey. Elves, trolls, wargs, and a fiery-tempered dragon are part of this grand story-telling drama.

Sponge School

Send your child on a language journey this summer with Sponge!

Each day, kids are immersed in language and having fun – the best way to learn!  They’ll gain learning strategies, useful vocabulary, and speaking and listening skills.  Plus, campers broaden their understanding of the world by exploring the culture – the stories, customs, and celebrations – of the language.

Fireworks & Festivals: Celebrating Summer in Japan!
