Monthly Community Meetings 2018

CommunityMeetingCollage.jpg

Community Meetings are back! Held the first Monday of the month we aim to bring speakers and topics that are of interest to the neighborhood. Snacks and refreshments will be served at 6:30pm, meeting begins at 7pm and finishes around 8pm.

We often have representatives from the SPD, other non-profits, traffic and planning - as well as an open forum to discuss issues that are important to you. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Monday April 2 2018 - A group developing the application for the Mount Baker Historic District is scheduled to make a presentation to the neighbors. This firm was hired by Friends of Mount Baker Town Center - via a grant from 4Culture - to develop an application to the Washington State Department of Archeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP) to create the Mount Baker Historic District. Many of our neighbors live inside the area designated, but may not know what is - or is not - happening. Come and find out more about this project.

We will also have a short presentation from the proposed Quieter Skies Task Force - a group looking at concerns regarding the increasing noise pollution from air traffic in our neighborhood.

Monday May 7 2018 - to be confirmed - discussion and presentation on proposed development in the Mount Baker area.

If you would like to present your organization or suggest topics to discuss, please feel free to contact Peter Greaves at president@mountbaker.org

Community meetings are held at the Mount Baker Community Club in the upstairs conference room. Everyone is welcome
