Christmas Ships Celebration & Bonfire

ChristmasShipsCollage.jpg

Every holiday season, Mount Baker Beach is one of the stops for the Argosy Christmas Ships Parade. The Community Club builds a bonfire on the beach to greet the ships when they arrive. After the ships leave the community gathers at the Clubhouse, following the trail of beautiful luminaries up the hill, for a cookie potluck, carols and a visit from Santa Claus.

Once again Mount Baker Community Club is hosting the annual Mount Baker Holiday Party immediately prior to the Argosy Christmas Ships at Mount Baker Beach.

We’ll be serving hot cider, coffee, tea, beer and wine, as well as a stunning array of delectable Christmas cookies baked by your neighbors. We’ll hear carols from Northwest Girl Choir and we’re also expecting a visit from Santa Claus himself! Please join us for this very warm and very charming FREE neighborhood event!

Afterwards we invite all our neighbors, and everyone visiting the neighborhood, to follow the beautiful path of luminarias to the beach to see the Christmas Ships land at Mount Baker Beach.

This is a FREE EVENT for our community and we need your help to make it happen. WHAT WE NEED:

• LIGHT LUMINARIAS
We need 8-10 volunteers to help set up luminarias from Mount Baker Beach to the Clubhouse. 6:00-7:00pm.

• SERVE REFRESHMENTS
We need 4-6 volunteers to help serve refreshments & help with the cookie tables. 6:00-8:30pm.

• COOKIES, COOKIES, COOKIES
We need cookies from all our generous neighbors. When you're doing your holiday baking, please bake an extra tray of cookies for the Community Club. Please deliver them to the Clubhouse anytime after 5:00pm.
